Jill Mazirow Eshman

From an early age, Jill Mazirow Eshman learned that hard work, diligence, and integrity are the hallmark characteristics of top-ranked attorneys. As the youngest daughter of one of the country’s leading real estate attorneys, Jill saw first hand that attentive service, creative solutions, assessment of risks -- and most importantly -- client satisfaction, are what build a lawyer’s reputation. These early lessons became innate and she has applied them directly to her Idaho practice and her life.

Jill started practicing law in California as a real estate associate attorney at two well-respected top tier firms, Loeb & Loeb, and then Mayer, Brown & Platt. Her expertise in business law and finance was refined in her work as legal counsel for the business and entertainment banking department of Mercantile National Bank. During her tenure at Mercantile National Bank, her article "Bank Financing of a Motion Picture" was published in the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Journal.

After being admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 1996, Jill gained extensive experience as a mediator in a number of real estate and business transactions. Her mediation skills were apparent as the sole Hearing Examiner for Blaine County, Idaho, a position she held for four years. In Ketchum, she also worked as an Associate Attorney for Lawson and Laski, PLLC.

Jill’s areas of expertise include real estate, land use, business law, estate planning, estate settlement, probate and trust administration. She is admitted and licensed to practice in both California and Idaho.

Jill Eshman Law was established in 2005 to provide legal guidance to individuals and entities pertaining to Idaho legal issues - whether it be a purchase and sale of real estate, a lease, an asset purchase agreement, a will or a revocable living trust, or the settlement of an estate.

Jill Mazirow Eshman is a member of WealthCounsel, LLC – a nationwide collaboration of trust and estate planning attorneys and other legal, tax and business professionals. This partnership ensures that clients get sophisticated, technically up-to-date estate plans. The planning techniques are peer-reviewed and the documents are comprehensive, flexible and easy-to-read.

Jill believes that lawyers never stop learning and she is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program at NYU's School of Law and is working toward obtaining a Master of Laws in taxation.

Jill lives in Ketchum, Idaho with her husband of twenty-five years, where she spends her free time enjoying the clean mountain air by hiking, the occasional mountain bike ride, skiing and practicing yoga. Their two daughters are in college at Duke University and Georgetown University - go Blue Devils and Hoyas!
