Margaret H. Boggs, Esq.


Peggy joined J. Eshman Law in 2021. Peggy is an experienced attorney with a broad scope of practice including providing counsel to employers, landlord-tenant, creditor’s claims in probate, general contract review, general civil litigation in smaller matters, and misdemeanor criminal defense.

She also guides and advises the firm’s estate clients with the important steps that take place after creation of an estate plan – the transfer of assets to their revocable trusts to help ensure their estate plans work as intended. She also handles estate and trust settlement, including formal and informal probates.

She is well-versed in Idaho business entity formation, and in advising homeowner and condominium associations.

She is a 1995 graduate of Georgetown University and a 2002 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law. After law school, she served as law clerk to a state trial court judge in Juneau, Alaska and then spent the next several years as a civil city attorney for the City of Juneau.

Her Idaho work experience has included work for a Boise criminal defense attorney, as an appeals writer for the Idaho Industrial Commission, work for The Huntley Law Firm, and three years with Miller Kaplan Arase LLP assisting with tax opinions relating to class actions. Most recently, prior to joining J. Eshman Law she worked for three years serving as a Blaine County contract public defender and as a sole practitioner.

Across all practice areas, Peggy offers responsive, client-centered services focused on listening to clients and meeting each client’s particular needs.

She lives in Hailey and in her free time enjoys the Wood River Valley’s amazing Nordic skiing and mountain biking.
